Additionally, the hardcore players will absolutely buy it twice just to have multiple islands. I purchased ACNL two (one physical, one digital) for Animal Crossing New Horizons Items that reason and that I currently have digital ACNH and'm thinking about picking up a physical copy only to get a fuck-around island.
I bought it due to the hype. This is famous to saybut the game is so dull. After you get your three of four important buildings done and a couple of island inhabitants, all you do is gather materials and craft materials in a work bench. Or you can purchase items at the general store. Nonetheless, it's super repetitive and I can not find a reason why people are so crazed about it. Like I can not even devote a full hour on the match at a time.
That said, I really do think it's an amazing game but I wouldn't have put so much time to it if I was not playing with family and friends. Throughout the pandemic, we would get on and enjoy each others company, Talk about what fish we obtained, any trendy items we had at the shop, commerce and gift items to each other etc..
My friends dropped it and that I kept going but it was more of just a daily zen garden kind of item. Go to my island. Checkout what's popped up. At this point I was a few hundred hrs in. Haven't touched it in some time, but I know I can jump back in any moment.
I completely agree. I gave it a try, but the gameplay is way too slow to the rewards that you get. You get an entire day to do things, but a lot of that is just collecting materials and nothing happens before a full 24hrs later. The slow gameplay simply does not appeal to me personally.
The only real way I could describe it's like the sims with critters. I mean, I can see the allure of world building matches for many people but there is no overarching goal, no ending, no overarching plot. It is simply more of the same without a eventual payoff.
I have managed about 40 hours of gambling since Bravely Default 2 has been released (all on Bravely Default 2) and although I've sunk 40+ hours into the Cheap Animal Crossing Items gameI feel like I'm making progress towards some thing. I can't imagine doing this 5x over and not getting a payoff.
