Where all RS3 gold can have a say to the match makers. In Runescape we can choose. To skill, to kill, or chat, or become a pure, or foruminate, fish for a little while, pursuit, or dancing for golden or a laugh. We have choice and voice. Lord of the Rings has existed for sixty decades, it outlived its creator. It seems to be thriving. What about Runescape? Your pick.
Hello, recently I was checking out Runescape for a lurker on these forums and the RSOF. Couple of things left me quit over a year and a half ago: Reduction of interest when I went to perform MMO's (Dragon Nest, etc), being busy with research (still am) and feeling jaded with RS generally. I see the last appears to be the present sentiments of most players today, but I digress.
Noticed the changes here and there, only new pursuit for F2P and Squeal of Fortune (that caused quite a buzz here back when it was released, rofl) as well as Titles. Personally I think that the SoF is very lame, seeing that most of the valuable stuff are for mems to be maintained, not like they would put an ancient statuette (worth 5m) within the rewards.
The question is, what is there to do today? Back when I played with I liked the standard clan wars involving both clans in the Wildy until they established the Gamers' Grotto, but many clans today seem to be people that need active commitment or something. I highly doubt that I'll commit to being in a clan in a game such as RS, seeing that better offers such as Guild Wars 2 may become my primary match. I'd enjoy having the ability to just join 1 side of a clan to get a couple wars and log , but I am not sure if that's possible.
It seems quite ludicrous, really, because the MMO- tag suggests you've got to have other people to have fun, but I don't understand. I do remember walking around as a newbie and being awed with how big the area of RS was, but the magic's certainly lost. And like most gamers that are here, we're past the time of having the ability to mill for a couple of hours straight in one skill. Achievements of abilities are enjoyable if you value that, but buy RuneScape gold I got bored of levelling once I struck 106. Just too much work to get a +1 at the level.
