Pvp meeting pve players. Although it was not required, non-pvpers could to take a chance to join potential pvp for rewards. My previous point about quests is that every player should have the ability to gain access to the content. But, making certain worlds "safety" defeats all of it. This is what I am most worried about. A safe world where no attacks can occur defeats the purpose.
Since there's a safe one just one step away, it is unlikely that any runecrafter should make use of the deadly deep. Zombie-hunters in armour can hop over to a safe world once they have left the wild. In fact, that would work for any world. This is a plea, do not promote the idea of "safe" worlds or the half-assed wilderness. it defeats the point and the fun of being in the wild.
Wilderness and Free Trade
Since wilderness and free trade are under discussion, what is going to happen to the things that were originally made to replace it? A quick background... GE- was developed about one month prior to the famous updates to substitute free trade.
Ancient warriors' equipmentwas originally designed to look like statuettes. Due to the low pvp drops back then the ancient fighters equipments luck drops too, so you could have a shot to get them and make money (the economy in that time was extremely low).
Statuettes - Introduced as part of the new bounty hunting system, the statuettes provided the chance to win good loots or decent money for pkers. Estimated potential- It was made available with the new bounty hunter systems. It gave players an indication of their chances to earn good loot. PvP worlds were created to replace the bounty hunter, originally had many worlds but then was reduced to very few worlds.
Hotspots are areas in which loot can be more 'kinder to the player. Clan Wars- They were the very first minigames available for F2P. They were a replacement for massive battles in the wilderness for clans. The new Bounty Hunter- After many months of pvp, jagex made loot kinder and introduced a new way to play pk.
FFA arenas The update to FFA arenas is the most ineffective thing ever in Runescape. It came in an update that ended clan wars forever. It managed to reduce the number of people there and make it a boring experience. Don't even get me going on about the dangerous arena. Request assistance - This happened when we were unable to exchange items to make other ones. making armour for low levels, air/law/etc rune running.
