Items in the seasonal Ladder stash will remain there until the end the beginning of Ladder Season 3 to be recovered, so that they don't get lost for D2R Items. The Ladder season is planned to last about four months.

Blizzard will be celebrating the game's first Ladder season by streaming a live event that they're calling The Infernal Race. The various Diablo game creators are going to be working together and competing against one another in their quest for the top spot of the leaderboards in the season. The fans can view the race via this official Diablo Twitch channel.

The game's debut Ladder season comes after the release of the massive patch 2.4 update that introduced major balance changes for classes addition of new items and rune words, alterations to the various mercenaries in the game and much more. This is the first major update to Diablo II since 2010's patch 1.13c.

Blizzard recently announced that its free-to play Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Items mobile game, Diablo Immortal it will shortly be available on PC with cross-progression and cross-platform play. Diablo Immortal is set to launch on June 2, with the PC version of the game coming out in an open beta state.
