Can you read the article, or did you pick? They said they were in the process of buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta setting the match up for NA BEFORE Microsoft did any deal. The main reason it is only is more marketing, due to its marketing than I had thought it was earlier. Microsoft is clearly giving Sega a major deal. Part of this deal is that they launch and market it for Xbox first. This is so that they can show other game devs it works, which is trying to get more people to utilize. They're also gaining the cash from the earnings of xboxs and xbox. A different portion of the bargain was that Microsoft would assist with the game, but they need to perform what Microsoft says first.
The game is 8 years old, it was ported to Xbox One, and today was built for PC and over the years has been ported to PS4, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita. That's the PC version, meaning that it is already working, if you read the words in which they said they got the game working in days on Azure. This entire beta is advertising there are a few bugs to be fixed, however this is pure marketing. It's very clear when you look at the fact that there is a Xbox decorative. That isn't something that is done and isn't something which was done before they made a deal with Microsoft.
Look when was the last time you watched a tweet talking than Xbox? I thank Microsoft for working with Sega to get the match but I know that a promotion stunt is being pulled by them and hate how they're treating the PC community. That's a shop that's made by Microsoft, and windows is a Microsoft product, I will load the xbox app on my computer up, and they get a cut of the earnings. Look at Xbox Play Anywhere, it is owned by you on both the Xbox and Windows 10 and where you purchase a game.
And you can not toss in the old"well its PC, they need to be certain it could run on all the different hardware" because the match is 8 years old, and has been running on PC that entire time. The base code of this game is identical, they changed the server code to ping the right server for data, they added in cross support for xbox (like PS4 PS Vita and Change ), plus they included in the battlepass. The game operates on computers that are potato. Now go down vote me hell, but I do not hate on Xbox players, I'm not a PC elitist, I'm hating on Microsoft for turning against the PC community and turning the match into a marketing stunt.
I have my doubts about that. Seems pretty suspicious to only state that was blatantly they intended on bringing it here. I would be willing to buy that they have always wanted to bring it. But intending it? Doubt. To an extent. But not the reason. I don't think MS did like what you're claiming consoles to move. Consoles are always sold at a loss. It's likely to have people invested into Azure and cheap meseta pso2 really nothing else, if money is involved with the decision making.
